If you can swap gameplays between two videogames...
...what would you change?
Me, I'd play Full Throttle with the gameplay of Fallout 3.

(Which hopefully would make part 3 into something actually playable)

Oh no you di'in't!
Wow, so I'm not alone. I totally thought I was.
No you are not. All that I loved in GTA3 is no more in San Andreas.
Edit: post #1400. Cool.
Really? Everything I hated in GTA3 wasn't in San Andreas. If I had the power I'd give the gameplay of San Andreas to GTAIII instead o_ô
SA is so much better than IV. Which is sad seeing how VC was so much better than SA.
Also the OP's idea sounds terrible.
* Dreamfall like Fahrenheit. Maybe then the game could have been somewhat redeemed.
* All 3D RTS as 2D RTS. I can't just get into those modern ones like good ol' ones like Red Alert (1).
* The X series and Freelancer should also combine forces and utilize the best of both games.

I, uh... kinda like GTAIV above the rest... *hides from angry mob*
I will admit that taking out the tanks and nutjob weapons and whatnot was a horrible idea, though (and the radio stations are the worst in the series). But the Euphoria engine adds a layer of randomness that keeps me coming back time and again. Random occurrences and glitches were always my favorite thing about GTA 3 onward (the first two really couldn't generate those epic moments).
On a more shallow note, it's a technical dream. In some ways, it's still the most impressive engine out there. I've plugged a shameful amount of hours into it, and I'm still blown away at the detail.
So I posit that the GTA3 series should be moved to IV. And I posit this idea whilst hiding behind a riot shield and whimpering.
Heretic!
That's the worst messed up engine I have ever seen, and there have been many.
Yes. YES!
YES, Y...eergh I don't know about it, i'm unsure about Vice City being better than San Andreas, I just finished through Vice City 2 weeks ago and many things I LOVED in San Andreas were absent there, too...
Uncharted 2 is incredible, sure enough, but it's not pulling the huge amount of data every second that GTAIV does.
Seems the things you like about SA are the things we do not like.
Vice City is far better than SA.
So what is it you are liking in San Andreas?
That would be so cool. Activision should do that but keep the stupid trailers and once the 12-year olds play it they find themselves in a bus they need to keep on the road all the time.
For the multiplayer they should add "Farming Simulator". Who cares this baby will sell 5 mio copies in the first week anyways. Just make sure to keep the reviewers silent.
Odd GTA:SA was the only one I really liked (except VC, but that was purely due to the radio) I'd replace GTA:IV with SA, but throw in some stuff taken out from 3 and VC to make the perfect GTA. The stat system in GTA:SA was the best thing. If you had max muscle and max bike skills you could jump so high that airplanes would come to take you down for entering Airspace you're not supposed to. Then you could drive full force into a car have it blow up spinin the air for like a minute then land to safety. Plus underwater drive bys too.
I'd trade Demi Kids system out with Devil Summoners.
