flash animation

edited December 2010 in General Chat
I know there are a couple of really good flash animators around here, so i was wondering if you could help? I'm interested in learning flash to make animations; does anyone know any good tutorials for beginners?

For animating there aren't a lot of tutorials that could really be helpful. All you need to know is how to draw and how to use layers and stuff. Layers are the bomb, not using layers sucks.

When I was actually trying to learn flash, I found this site

    http://www.flashperfection.com/

I hope it works better for you than my lack of determination did for me.

I've never finished a full flash project (with the exception of the Roll Call Collab thats nearly finished which i did a part for) but I know my way around flash fairly well as far as its function as an animation tool is concerned.

I would recommend Newgrounds' Flash Tutorials for general help on pretty much everything to do with flash. If you are wanting to learn character animation, then I'd check out the Super Flash Bros tutorials, they really taught me a lot about layers, movieclips and tweening in this set alone.

I did the latter tutorials first when i was but a youngling but if you would like to get comfortable with flash i'd find an introduction to flash tutorial on newgrounds.

    Happy Flash-ing
