Just heard about this game, and it looks cool. Never played Runaway before, but I'll be waiting for this.

I loved all three parts of the Runaway series, and I was looking forward to hear about their new game, thanks for posting this!

Looking good so far, I'm a little disappointed that they already said it won't be longer than R3, which was quite short.... :(

It looks like what A Vampyre Story could have been but I'll wait for the reviews.

Haha, love the shout-out to RKO Pictures(the "M" probably stands for Monster or something like that, I'm sure). Really hoping the alternate reality 50s Hollywood setting will be used for references to classic films, and the RKO parody studio already gives me high hopes.

For example, one of the people Liz meets in the stately mansion is a somewhat frustrated actor who believes that it’s impossible for him to ever achieve success in the film business. He does, however, bear a striking similarity to the protagonist of a famous movie. But his skin color is a bit off, his outfit might not be completely right, and he is also missing some neat sunglasses to complete the picture. So Liz must search for the suitable accessories, as well as something that can be used to alter his somewhat greenish tint to a more elegant blue.

I wonder, do they mean "a famous movie of our real world that we're supposed to know"?

And if so, which movie could that be? I can't think of a blue protagonist with sunglasses atm. Any ideas?

Agent J from MIB comes to mind.

I remember that i once was kind of blown away by the Runaway - A Road Adventure trailer. I watched it over and over again. *googling* Hmm, couldn't find it in a decent quality (like on my hd), just a rather low quality version on gametrailers: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2k3-runaway/3419

Pretty sure that they mean from a fictional movie within the game's world... but it's likely to be a pastiche of various real movies.

I know Runaway is one of those games you either like or not... I liked them.. So I'm looking forward to this one.

The game definitely interests me. Like Irishmile, I enjoyed the Runaway games and The Next Big Thing doesn't look half bad. I'm certainly looking forward to it.

I thought the original had stilted and bad voice acting, bad writing and uninteresting characters (probably due to bad acting).

I can't wait for this game :) I really liked the Runaway games, especially the last one...

I'll agree that the voice acting was bad. It's especially apparent in the pirate part of the Dream of the Turtle, which is just plain awful. Still, I think the main problem of the series is that many of the hot spots are near impossible to find. I know they've implemented a solution to this in the third installment in the series, but I've yet to play it.

Ugh, that's just not fair. The German version is out since February, the French one will be released this week, but the English version only comes out later in April

Ack it's not a long wait, those markets keep adventure games alive, so they gotta get the love first and foremost is the way I see it :)

I liked it a lot. I didn't understand a couple of the weird jokes and sayings, but I figured I wasn't supposed to...
