Securom dvd failure on Season 2
I've just picked up Season 2 of Sam & max and tried to install it on my laptop. I had issues with the DirectX install because it seemed to be having difficulties accessing the disk, but got around that by copying the folder onto the hard drive.
Now however, trying to start the game up universally fails with a Securom error about not recognising the disk.
This isn't the first time I've had this kind of issue caused by some form of DRM not working with a random DVD drive, but it's really frustrating to not be able to play a game I've paid for when I could so easily have pirated it.
Not to mention yet another game installing the Securom bloatware on my computer without even having the curtesy of mentioning it was going to do so.
I'm open to suggestions as to how to resolve this, I'd rather not have to get a pirate copy in order to make it work due to the obvious risks involved, but I'm not keen to have bought a game I can't play.

That's correct, and I'm not sure what the original first comment even meant. Twas a little terse.
If you had bought the disc directly from Telltale, you could access downloadable versions of the games from the link he posted.
