Blues/Jazz music
Hey-o!
I'm a big blues fan from the likes of Rory Gallagher, Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis etc etc, and I've heard some jazz music (especially in the Sam and max series) and was wondering if anyone could suggest some good jazz musicians that you enjoy listening to?

From my limited experience, Miles Davis is a good listen if your just discovering jazz, he has his own style which you can pick out quite well
Jesus fish, this doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of my selection, I didn't remember I had so much Jazz on hand...

as for the true jazz some albums
The dave brubeck quartet - Time out (everybody knows the song take five)
Charles Mingus - migus ah um
Ornette Coleman - the shape of jazz to come
John Coltrane - Giant Steps
Pharaoh Sanders - Karma (the best intro into free-jazz)
As for blues nobody beats Robert Johnson
