Hey Mark how have you been? How are the holidays going for you? get all your shopping done?

what is the status of this game? Pinhead games is co-producing and aren't you pretty much pinhead games? But seriously Zombies and pointing and clicking seem like a good idea to me..

I asked Mark about this over a year ago and this is what he had to say at that time:
Sadly, I haven't heard from John Green for quite a while now. He was developing the game entirely on his own. When we first started talking, Pinhead Games was going to provide the audio direction as well as promotion and distribution of the game when he finished it. Unfortunately John found that other things were taking priority in his life and has not been able to finish the game.

I too have been much too busy to keep Pinhead Games updated (Though I keep meaning to). You can imagine that Monkey island and Strong Bad have kept me working very hard!

Last I heard from John (Which was about 8 months ago) he was still working on the game in his spare time, but the Lassie Engine he was working with was giving him a lot of troubles. The game may still be completed one day, but it's all really in John's hands.

Awkward... we can't remember why we called you over in the first place.

    Sorry about that.

Nope, The Room is terrible, and therefore awesome.

Nostalgia Critic is also somewhat awesome.

But, Rifftrax: The Room is super awesome.

So let me see if I've got this straight.

The Room is so bad it's awesome
The nostalgia critic is also awesome
and the Rifftrax for The Room is Awesome Incarnate?
  • edited December 2010
I didn't see The Room until a week or so after the RiffTrax came out, back in Summer 2009, but I saw it without RiffTrax. At one of the midnight showings in LA with a theater so packed I had to stand in the back next to Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero. THAT is how you watch The Room!

After buying the DVD myself a few months later, I finally got the riff. I enjoyed it, but the movie is hilarious enough on its own.

The reviews by Nostalgia Critic and Obscurus Lupa are also pretty good, but nothing can top THIS for Room-related brilliance.

And, um, Mark Darin needs to know this information.

    Favorite Rifftrax: The Room moment.

"I hurt you by showing you my face"

Also, I love how this discussion was supposed to be about Mark Darin, but it turned into a Tommy Wiseau-fest.
