Sam and Max DVD wont start

Now Im getting upset with the DVD, at first It didnt have the sam and max games, but now my laptop won't scan at all.
I at first thought it was because my laptop was a piece of crap because well it is(it took an hour to start it up after the 9th try) but when I tried playing it on a different computer it failed too. The DVD has no scratches, it just wont start. Autorun is on for both computers, and it is not shown not to be in anywhere on the computer.
Please could someone help me, I dont want to get another DVD.

    Did you try exploring the DVD and running "setup.exe"?

    That's the thing, I cant explore the dvd, it doesnt say there is a dvd at all, on either computer.
