Telltale Get more great TV franchises!

edited December 2010 in General Chat
Yes I know this is yet another "I want my..." request for adventures post.
(sorry if there is a certain rule about those trolly posts).

So I've been thinking, how about continuing SGU now that it's cancelled? A space adventure hmmm???? Interesting, you likey?

Also great would be Fringe (if it gets cancelled too), which in combination with telltale's scripting would put Walterisms in a new level.

And finally Warehouse 13 which is a great adventure-ish series.

How about they slap an Indy for the summer of 2012? It would be the last great adventure before the world perishes. That's why the Jurassic Park is done, I am sure in a most conspiracy way.

Fuck that. Especially SGU, which was no SG-1 or Atlantis(and, by the way, those shows' premises work far better for a puzzle-based story game than SGU). I'd prefer less licenses, or at least less mainstream licenses, personally.

Eh, I just think they need to find the perfect project that is also mainstream. BTTF is the closest thing, but I'd love to see Telltale's take on a popular franchise that isn't CSI and isn't dead for 10+ years.

SGU was character driven on the show (probably that's why it got booted). But no one says that it cannot go action/point'n'clicky on the games.

How about Ducktales? That calls for Adventure game from Telltale.

Uhhh I think Warren Spector of Epic Mickey fame wants to do a Ducktales game.
But what about Darkwing Duck? It would have been twisted and hillarious like Sam and Max.

Warren spector has strong interest for a Ducktales game(but wants it more faithful to the carl bark's comics), and as for Darkwing Duck. There's a rumor he might do that.

I'd be up for a Fringe game, for sure - love the show. Though we're more likely to get a Universal related show than a Warners one I guess.

I would much rather an X-Files game than Fringe.

By that I mean one better than the one we got years ago.

Me and a friend of mine always imagined that a point-and-click adventure game of Animaniacs made by Telltale could really work. The gimmick of the gameplay (with gimmick, I mean for example the item combination of TOMI or Max's Psychic powers in S&M) could involve that depending on each warner, the dialogues and actions aviable are diferent. I'm sure it could work!
