Major localization (voiceover) errors...

edited December 2010 in Back to the Future
First of all, thx for delivering the game with german voiceover from the start.

But, after some minutes with the game I'll now have to install the game in english.

It's not about the quality, that's allright although I'd preferred the original voicecast.

No, sometimes the cast get's mixed so that the voice of Marty ist doing the voiceover for Doc. That's ridiculous. I'll get that the cast in videogames normally doesn't see the scene and just read from a sheet of paper, but a little Q&A should be in it to recognized the one guy is reading the wronmg lines/ part. XD

I'm propably to bitchy about that, but thats only because I'm so hyped about the game. ;)

On the landing page you'll automatically can choose between 4 installers.

English PC/ Mac & German PC/ Mac - All the games have various subtitles, but only one voice track.

I'm from Germany too but I wanted the original english version and I clicked on it, instead I got a horrific travesty of a game. German text with English Audio!

Please fix that and give us a chance to simply download the original full English version!!

Uhm and there are some other mistakes.
They translated the pipe in the Soup joint with "Pfeife", it's a correct translation but not in this context. :D
It should've been "Rohr", but oh well ... :/

Thanks for this workaround Schlichi. Have tried the game now, and have to say the bad impression I got from the localization fiasco is now softened mightily as I think the game itself so far is superb. I'm also quite surprised how good it runs.

And in the german subtitles George calls the jukebox in Docs Garage a guitar.
Not sure about the actual german voice, since i prefer the original.

There are other examples, like an "Excuse me!" translated as "Tut mir leid!", which means "I'm sorry!".

And it's not news that I'm no fan of the missing original voice-cast.
