What the heck is wrong with my Ipod?

edited December 2012 in General Chat
A month ago, I had gotten some technical problems with my Ipod. Now, while I was restoring my ipod with some new songs from my CD of Tom Scott's Reed my lips album, when all of a sudden my computer freezes and my ipod goes black completely and I cannot turn it on. Now i get the icon that it means that my ipod needs a restoration. And as I try to restore my ipod, itunes upgrades itself and tells me I need a Windows XP itunes. After locating this, I try to restore my itunes again, and it doesnt work. Is my ipod dead?

So is the iTunes program running? If it is and it can't detect your iPod, then yeah, you may have to take it to an Apple store and see if they can sort it out. If iTunes isn't running, then you have a different problem entirely.

Hey guys. I got a new problem with my Ipod. My Ipod's wifi isn't working. It works at other places but it isn't working at home. It says the password is incorrect when its correct. I restarted the ipod like 3 times and it still has this problem. Anyone know how I can fix this problem so I can have the wifi working around my house again?

In short, your ipod is shucked. Go to the Genius Bar.

The Genius Bar is basically the help desk at an Apple store. They just called it something fancy 'cause, y'know, it's Apple.

    I have a better idea:

    Don't buy stuff from Apple.
