Episode 3 ending credits song driving me up the wall and through the roof

edited January 2008 in Sam & Max
The ending song from Episode 3 has to be the most hilarious thing in the entire season thus far--it's inspired. Reminds me of the Mr. Hilter sketch.

Anyway, I've already gone and dumped the OGG from the AUD file, but now not being able to work out what the lyrics are is sending me bonkers. I've managed to get most of it, but any additions would be appreciated :P

Edit: put in spoiler tags just in case.
(( I've got NO idea... ))

Oh baby,

Welcome, welcome, generous friends,
days and weeks and tokens to spend;
we're just regular business men,
just you and me an' Ted E. Bear.

Ted E. Bear's is oodles of fun,
slots and sandwiches and poker and guns;
And look: no mobsters--nary a one,
with you and me an' Ted E. Bear.

Not mafia, no!
(( No mafia, mugs. ))
We're mafia-free!
(( No mafia here. ))
(( What mafia, please! ))
????? from the family tree.

J. Edgar Hoover always insists,
organised crime just *doesn't* exist;
Q.E.D. they're not in our midst,
????? an' Ted E. Bear.

No goons, no grumpers, no ????s, no ????s,
no gyps, no clippers, no chippies, no lugs;
no button-men packing gaps loaded with slugs,
it's you and me an' Ted E. Bear!

No mafia here.
(( What mafia, please! ))
We're mafia-free!
(( No mafia here. ))
(( No mafia, mugs. ))
... just doin' business legitimately!

Max: Play it again, Sam!
Sam: I don't think I can, little buddy; I think my eardrums have started to haemorrhage from listening to that catchy little tune over and over again in a vain attempt to discern the lyrics. I'm afraid that if I played it again, my head would explode.
Max: ... Play it again, Sam!

    There's a song? When I beat the game there wasn't a credits song, I was really dissapointed. :/ Must be some kind of bug. I was playing over Gametap.
  • edited February 2007
    The song is in the Gametap version, both in the credits and in-game. Don't rush through the game! =P

    Argh! The very first thing I do when I start up the S&M games is to turn off the subtitles. It never occured to me to turn them on and go pay a visit to the creepy bear heads again.

    That'll teach me to play through the game at 11 PM :P

    Thanks all.

    BTW: Harald B already pointed out that the missing lyrics when listing mafia-types were "no drifters, no thugs", and it's "packin' gats loaded with slugs".

    I want this song as a MP3-File! I want to listen to it over and over again. ^^

    Agreed, it was a brilliantly funny song! Weird that they made so little of it in the game itself!

    You're right. They should've used it the first time Sam and Max entered the building. Imagine three of these bear-goons jumping around and singing that song! :D

    You're going to have to wait for them to upload the most requested tracks on the soundtrack page like the rest of us honest people.

    Heheheh... "honest"....:D

    Sorry for the necromancy, but this song is hilarious and fun to sing!

    The credits on the soundtrack doesn't list who were the vocals but does anyone here know who sang?

    Yeah, all vocals in the Season One songs were Jared. Can't believe I left "vocals" off his list of credits on the back of the CD. Whoops!

    Yes, it's not nice to steal the music! If you really want it, goto Telltale's store and buy it, only $19.99! Plus you get a beautifully decorated case, two wonderful smelling (and wonderful tasting!) CDs, and the satisfaction of owning it and all the rest of the music! *Closes eyes and gives a matter of fact grin* Besides, the punishment for illegally pirating the games and/or music is front row tickets to a live performance of Sam singing "Oops I Did It Again!" on Banjo!
