Telltale has messed up their marketing strategies...lolz

edited December 2010 in Back to the Future
The right Sequence should be:

Demo (or free episode) >> gamers report bugs based on that game >> fixing the bugs >> release full version of the series (or episode by episode) after a month or two...

instead they released the full game with bugs causing people who actually paid for the game pissed off at them...and people who are waiting for their free episode too are pissed off coz it was after the registration and all, they get a funny message "you wont get to play till Feb" lolz....

not a smart move on their part...

You should have played Pnati that had MANY more bugs. Most people complain if the game isn't out quickly. If it was up to teltale alone the game probably wouldn't be out for months to get rid of every problem but thhen barely any games would be released and people would be even more annoyed for it. As for the free episode, if they want to play the game they should pay for it, just because telltale have finished a game doesn't mean they should give it for free and if they did then no-one would buy the game until febuary when the next chapter is out and then they would complain that it costs the same as if they bought the free episode.so all in all don't complain.

From what I've heard from rumors is that someone, either Telltale or Universal, decided to push the free episode back to February because people supposedly spilled the codes for the free internet on the Internet, therefore nullifying the purpose of this free episode.

But those are just rumors and speculation. If it was true, blame it on those motherpluckers who posted the codes on the Interwebs.

    Spilling codes would be pointless.

Not necessarily. It could be that some have already gotten the game, and are just throwing them around on the internet.

OR, but it might be a real big stretch and possibly not even true at all, the codes are all the same, and the coupon is just a general code, made for multiple uses.

They did screw up here, its not smart business to screw over customers and alienate them. Hopefully telltale will learn from their mistakes and not quietly pull underhanded crap like this in the future.

Maybe you should look up what 'customer' means.

But Telltale didn't even release a demo for the game

Do people even know that eventually (or possibly right at the beginning) the code was automatically put in for you in your cart when you went to the offer page?

Spilling codes...come on. While I have stated before that I was fairly confused that Telltale is waiting until February when they could give it out during the January break, I don't see the problem with them making non-paying people (and therefore not customers) wait a while to receive a free product.

^^^This, however, is quite surprising to me.

I experienced no bugs. Except for one audio thing didn't sound off. Hardly game breaking.
