BTTF: No sound and all kindsa bugs on OSX!

edited December 2010 in Game Support
Hey there fellas!

so I managed to get my game to run despite the client showing up BLANK when i ran the game. using the Terminal app and the following command

sudo /Applications/BackToTheFuture101.app/Contents/MacOS/Mac_Game

But there are no sounds. At all. Not a beep. Sounds functional normally in other apps, but not in BTTF.

Telltale, please don't make me regret buying a game from you....
I'm starting to wish I bought this from Steam. :(

    Does what I said here help?
    I'm not sure it will but I think there's a chance.
    After doing what I said there, run it as normal -double clicking the icon- instead of the way you did it.
    And in any case, I think it's not a good idea to run the executable from inside an App directory directly. If you need to run a program from the terminal, use "open":
    $ open /Applications/BackToTheFuture101.app

    EDIT:
    Try this too.

    What version of Mac OS do you have?

    10.6.5 Updated to all the latest. It's strange. I've played the game on windows now, (thank god that it's available on both when you purchase)

    Any idea what's been causing this?
