Steam'd Up
I was counting the number of games I have on Steam, and I was shocked to find that I had about 170 (I may have miscounted one or two, hence 'about').
170.
And that's not even counting the mods and shortcuts I have set up! That's just insane! And I daren't even think how many of those are thanks to the on-going Christmas sale! It's absurd... I probably won't even play half of them.
So... how many games do you have? Take a minute or two to count and let's find out! If you don't want to give an exact figure, that'd cool. But I'd be curious to see how many you do have...

Some of the 'games' I have are more like add-ons. I wouldn't count Master Levels for Doom 2, SiN Multiplayer or Half-Life 2: Lost Coast as full games, for example. And the jury's still out as to whether I should count the Sam & Max and ToMI titles as 16 and 5 games respectively or just 2. So the total Steam gives isn't strictly right, but it's a pretty good guide if you just want a quick answer.
If no-one else is sure where it is exactly, hit the Community tab and look on the right side of the screen. Under the 'Friends' box is one labelled 'Gameplay Stats'. The total of games you have is at the bottom of this box.
(Though its probably close to 160, as Civ 4 has Mac versions as well)
Thats a damn lot, but I also have like 109 GOG as well! (but since some are collections, its more like 130)
Thats not including both indie bundles, the telltale games I have here (ALL OF THEM barring CSI), or my xbox (I think I had about 80 games (maybe more...) and xbox360 collection (40+ Arcade titles, 40+ indie, about 40 retail)
(I also got quite a few Megadrive and Master System games, A few PS2 and PS3 games, my small wii collection (I kinda gave up on the wii))
Yeah.. I really shouldn't be buying so many cheap games...
Then again, I am one of these gamers that craves different games each day!
(One day i might want to play a fighting game, next day, I might want to play a RPG)
including all TTG-episodes except BTTF.
(I will be over 200 soon once I get the quake-pack)
Then Humble Indie Package hit me.
Then that damn sale hit me again, and bled me dry!
GAH!!
I won't deny that I've spent a lot of money on Steam, but I learned pretty quickly not to buy anything if it's not on sale for 10 bucks or less. I might make an exception for Portal 2 and Thief 4 if that hits Steam because I don't know if I could stand to wait for a sale for those.
It's just hard to resist when Steam randomly does a 75% off sale on a game you've been waffling on, or puts a bunch of neat-looking indie titles you've never heard of in a bundle for a couple of bucks.
... 2
monkey island 1: SE and monkey island 2:SE
But I have the devils playhouse through the preorder deal.
Poker Night because of the preorder deal.
TF2 beta which shouldnt count.
So I should have 18 games.
It was 25 before the Steam holiday sale.
I have 159 thanks to you too.
Hehe cool.
Mine was around $218.
Steam, on the other hand, says I have 29 games.
Though I know I buy 90% of my stuff when its on sale, so the real figure is much, much less...
I think it doesn't count The Devil's Playhouse because I've never played or even installed the Steam version of it. Anyway, between sales, the Orange Box bundle, and the fact that I paid my $5 for Poker Night to Telltale and not Steam, I've spent $76.93 on my Steam library valued at $140.88. The best deals I've gotten were Half-Life for $2 and BioShock for $5. Unless you count The Orange Box, the only games I've paid full price for on Steam were SoMI:SE, MI2:SE, and Chime.
I'm going to guess it's for a similar reason. B:AA has been replaced by the GOTY edition. You can't buy the version of the game I have anymore. The Devil's Playhouse games are listed individually, but can only be purchased as a season. I'm guessing not having the exact item available confuses the site.
Games it's not counted:
Codename Gordon (free game)
Crysis Wars (free game)
FEAR Extraction Point (expansion)
FEAR Perseus Mandate (expansion)
Prey (full game)
Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse (five full games)
So it's missed out on a couple of games, but ultimately not too many. I guess this is a neat way of showing off to people how many games you own on Steam!
I still have 21.36 on the Steam Wallet. Looking for new sales, but can't download them until Jan since all the downloads used up most of my internet monthly usage.
and about 50 games not accounted for.
Now that's more like it, Mr. Doodo.
um k
anyways

I think I paid a total of 25. Most of them are gifts.
