I'm seen as a good guy by the police

edited January 2011 in General Chat
This year I've been stopped twice by the police, the first for having a brake light out (which I wasn't aware of) and today for using my phone when driving (really I was going down a backstreet road with no traffic or pedestrians, and they happened to spot me)

But on both occasians and different officers, they both said because I look like a decent guy, they will let me off the fine and points on my licence.

Sorry about the silly thread, but apparently police like me enough not to give me fines! Doubt it will work with speeding, however.

I would take wet over freezing.... it was -25°F here that would be about what? -32°C for all you people who like to kick their footballs instead of pick them up and run with them.

Where I live specifically it's been about -5, some places though, yes, up to 25...I have to work out in that shit too.

I think they're used to dealing with hardened criminals in Coventry to be honest.

Haha, I always thought Birmingham was worse for gangs and that stuff? I have a story about that but it's way too elaborate for a forum post

Never really seen that much trouble going down here to be honest, apart from random fights or someone stealing a car, and that was RARE

Edit: Just realised that you were being sarcastic about how petty all the crimes in Coventry are?

Yeah, I've always found Coventry quite grotty (no offence!) but not dangerous. Birmingham is getting pretty scary in my opinion, I try not to go into the city if I can help it, I no longer feel safe there!
