The "The Official 2011 LEGO Thread of 2011 Thread" Thread
I've always had a soft spot for Minifigs, but the fact that you have to buy a whole set if you want the Minifigs has held me back from ever attempting to collect them. A few weeks ago, though, I discovered LEGO's Minifigure collectable series. So far, I've bought 7 figures, totalling at £13.93 (unless my number skills are poor enough for that to be inaccurate, in which case I'm sorry for any offence I've caused with my reckless mental arithmetic).
So far, I have these guys:
The Ringmaster (Series 2)
The Surfer Guy (Series 2)
The Pop Star (Series 2)
The Native American Chief (Series 3)
The Elf Archer (Series 3)
The Sumo Wrestler (Series 3)
The Baseball Player (Series 3)
Concerning the various rumours that I've given them all full names and personalities: THAT'S LIBELLOUS AND I'LL SUE YOU TO THE GROUND.
So, in this thread you can post your LEGO sets, Minifigs, stuff you want, stuff you've made, pictures you've taken, videos you've shot, and just generally discuss LEGO.

Maybe I will manage to get my hands on it. Or, I know there are PotC LEGO sets on the way, The Black Pearl will also do the trick... though I would still want Barracuda
Who doesn't? O_o
You didn't have legos?
I've also got a couple of the recent Pirate sets, the ship and the island, and since the new Lego game series is going to be Pirates of the Caribbean I'm expecting that there'll be PotC Lego sets as well. (if not, there will be bloodshed!) I was always tempted by the Mega Bloks PotC stuff, but that was Mega Bloks and it just isn't the same.
ETA: And I've got a couple of the Creator sets too, my favourite is theMonster Dino set because it moves and roars, and it can be made into other beasties as well. Lego Technic is also awesome, one of my friends got me a racing bike kit for Christmas. I FREAKING LOVE LEGO.
No not really.. I had gotten one or two of the really little things.. like enough to make a car... but I didn't really want any Legos as a kid.
It was all Star Wars, He-Man, and GI Joe for me as a kid.
Where in America, if you know? Here in the Northeast, I've never heard "lay-go". Sounds like it might be a southern or upper midwestern pronunciation.

Here's a picture of my room I posted on here a few months ago.
See those boxes next to my dresser? Here's what's in three of them.

And that's just the Bionicles. I have another box full of Harry Potter, two large tubs of Freestyle Legos, and two large pirate sets (one's a ship, one's a fort, but I can't find part of the ship's mast), as well as a few small pirate sets. Oh, and there's that giant bag of Technic Legos one friend gave me and another box full of regular Legos another friend gave me.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be putting all those away.
I only have the white Bionicles (With a few exceptions, presents etc.) as getting them all just seemed a little too crazy for me.
But I know I am still missing a few for my collection, I just haven't been lucky enough to find a list with pictures of all the Bionicles ever made. So I can cross check with the ones I got.

There are a lot more in my photobucket account, but they're jumbled up amongst everything else, I'll copy them to a new folder soon and link to that.
Here's a shot of my home office froam a few years ago - I have many more sets that this now, and a lot of the ones you see have since been broken due to my (and the neighbourhood) kids - need to find time to rebuild them.
They're great; where did you get hold of the individual pieces? Ebay or something or were they just lying around?
I'm not sure about the Toy Story Lego sets... they don't look very Lego-ish. Especially the minifig. Especially the Lotso minifig. God damn Lotso.
This guys Escher's made me weep real tears of human lacrimal fluid.
I grew up with all 4.
I didn't have a Eternia playset though.
Ah, bionicles! I used to have them. Well, the first generation anyway. The red and blue ones were impossible to get in my area. It took me over a year to get it, and we ended up doing so through the Lego website. Oddly enough, a week after getting them, I grew bored of bionicles.
