Hi this is a song i recorded yesterday.

The recording quality is not great (did it at home) but i was wondering whether it was good enough to put more songs up? Cheers.

    Thats sound quite good, though I will be honest and say that I could not comprehend any of the lyrics.
    (Its still much, much better than what I can do.... XD)

    Dude, that was pretty good. Nice voice, I'm wondering what more you could do with a voice like that though. The song it self isn't bad but it's a bit unclear as mentioned. I like the feeling you give it.

    THanks man, yeh its a crap recording as I recorded it at home thru a headset and i have no idea about recording lol.

    Do you mean you dont think i can go any further with my voice?

    Yeh I write alot of lyrics but this recording i recorded in a rush as i never get any privacy or spare time at home.

    No, that would be a negative view. I try to be indifferent. I'm curious what else you can do with your voice. Don't give what I say a negative spin, it's not a healthy mentality. :)

    I want to record something professionally this year, and get te whole film making thing going.

    You definitely have an interesting voice, and I mean that in a good way. :) The quality of the recording, though, was a bit low for me to get a good listen to it. For recording, You might want to try to find a place with better acoustics, since recording a guitar with a microphone is quite hard to get it to sound right.

    I find that if you record in a small room, like a bathroom, and cover all the windows and stuff like the sink, tub, etc. with pillows and blankets, it really helps to keep the sound from bouncing all over the place.

    Have you ever tried the February Album Writing Month challenge? I'm trying it myself this year, and I posted a thread about it on these forums. It would be great if someone else from here tried it too. :)

    I was gonna compare it to Nirvana and Deftones, then I saw Nirvana and Deftones in the tags and I was all "woah!"

    It's pretty good, obv the recording quality's not amazing, but just got something solid down for the lyrics (or freestyle it, as long as it works ;)) and a glossier recording would be my only real suggestions for improvements... outside of a full band

    Yeh I should get something proper done soon. It was recorded with a logitech headset lol.

    Yeh I put those bands to try and get more views, for the tags, plus I am a fan of both bands :)

    Yes I really need to get a proper recording done with audible understandable lyrics as I think that would sell the music more.

    FAWM is the February Album Writing Month, a challenge where you try to write 14 songs in the 28 days of February. There's a FAQ that answers a lot of questions. :)

    I never actually ever wrote a full song before, I've just dabbled with short songs on my piano keyboard and through Mario Paint Composer, and I made some songs with my guitar and sang some silly improvised lyrics. I don't have the songs with me singing anymore, since I recorded it with a karaoke machine and I lost the tape I recorded it on a long time ago. The only thing I still have of me singing is a really silly karaoke rendition I did of Don't Worry Be Happy in a bad accent. :) That's here if you really want to hear it. :p

    I'll have some real songs to show in February once I start FAWM. :)

    It's mostly for fun, and for the community involvement (through the FAWM forums and page comments) in having other musicians listen to and give support and/or constructive criticism on your songs. :)

    Although, at the end of the month, 14 people are voted on to have one of their songs on the FAWM Compilation CD. I'd love to have a song on one of those. :D

    Thanks. Yeah, I am. :o That's one of the reasons I want to do FAWM. I get embarrassed singing in front of people or when I know people are going to hear it, so hopefully the community involvement of FAWM will help me get over that. :)

    Jeniifer I like your voice but I don't think it attracts well to that song. It wasn't like you were singing enough, just sort of talking. I do like your voice though.

    I have a "good" voice but it's highly untrained and there for I can't actually sing effectively. As in it would sound poorly done, haha. Some people like me just aren't meant to sing.

    Though I think you both are good but, you could do better.

    This is the height of my musical ability. Note how it's a cover because I hate my own material. Also of note is how it's pure shit and I can neither play my guitar well or sing a note, and I get bored halfway through. But that's just to cover up the stank tbh

    Don't put yourself down, I play guitar myself and that was real nice to listen to, sure you made a few mistakes but it was good and honest and I liked it :D

    Hey man good guitar playing much better tham me lol. All I can fit in a whole song is 2 chords lol.

    Oh thank you kindly guys, those were very handsome remarks you both made :)

    I'm sure I can do better if I take my time, but i'll count myself lucky to get any compliments for something recorded through the mic I chat on TF2 with and played and sung by the gangly collection of limbs that makes up me.
