Tropfest 2011

I love Tropfest. It's the world's largest short film festival and kind of a big cultural deal for Sydney, where the 16 finalist films are screened at a big summer outdoor event.
There's usually a great variety in the finalist films - some serious, some funny, some sweet, and some just plain weird. Normally they're all selected from a shortlist by a judging panel, and the entries are not screened until the evening of the festival.
This year, organisers are allowing the public to choose the 16th finalist from a selection of films on the Tropfest website. The candidates are well worth checking out even if you're not interested in voting.
It's hard for me to choose a favourite. I'm pretty excited to see this year's other 15 finalists when the "extras" that might not make it are this good.
