Day of the Tentacle
Hi,
I'm new here, so sorry if this has been asked a million times, but . . . I was a big fan of Day of the Tentacle and read somewhere quite a while ago about possibly Telltale Games doing something with it, like they did with Monkey Island. Is there any news on it at all lately? Thanks.

Nothing that I'm aware of, although Telltale will be announcing 5 new projects at a press event on 17th February. There's a discussion/speculation thread about what these might involve, and DOTT has been mentioned in there a few times, but as far as we know right now it's just wishful thinking.
Personally I'd rather see a reboot of Maniac Mansion. Not the same game, but close to it. With multiple ways to solve puzzles that result in different outcomes. Just don't make any dead ends like in Maniac Mansion. There are a bunch of ways to mess up and make it so you can not win the game.
My favorite thing to do in that game is steal Ed's hamster then microwave him. Then give back the microwaved hamster to Ed who then gets so mad he kills your character. Cracks me up every time.
Also make a recording of the Tentacle mating call. Then play back the recorded tape of the tentacle mating call to the green tentacle. Who then apparently does something *censored* to your character that kills him/her. Funny stuff.
During the break between concerts on Saturday, I made my way out to the vending machines to buy myself and my friend some sodas. Got a Pepsi for him no problem, I wanted a Mountain Dew Code Red. Pressed the button and it was out of stock. So I pressed the button for regular Mountain Dew. The display said "Vending..." but nothing came out. For about 20 or 30 seconds. That's not normal... Finally it said "Out of Stock," and for some reason began giving me my money back. In dimes.
Now these are $3.00 sodas because it's a convention and they know how thirsty we are, so I'm standing here with people in line behind me as the machine dispenses 30 dimes one at a time. Then I still need my soda, so I proceed to feed all 30 dimes back into the machine. Ended up getting myself a Pepsi with no further incident, but putting 30 dimes into the slot one at a time gave me serious DoTT flashbacks
