Heh... actually I was wrong aswell
I've been jumping to the conclusion that the comics would be about Akira Kurosawa's movie "Yojimbo" from 1961 that greatly influenced films like "A fistfull of Dollars", "Last man standing" and "Lucky Number Slevin".
Now I've learned that Yojimbo simply is the japanese term for bodyguard and while the comic series is including references to Kurosawa's work it seems to be about much more.
I agree with you that series with open ending sometimes seem to get weird, start loosing pace or become inconsistent
Any canadians, french or germans having read BlackOp by Desberg & Labiano? Pretty expensive imo but I'd buy those 6 books again. Any time, right away!
From Malibu Comics' line of the mid 90s. Those comics were groundbreaking. I remember it being the first time I saw a superhero slaughtered so casually, and brutally, and in a torturous way revealed to all his superhero peers at the hands of Mr. Monday.
I love comics, one series I really love is Danger Girl (the original by Scott Campbell).
Battle chasers is really good too, shame Madureira never finished it... but he then made Ultimates Vol 3 which is very good too.
Sky Doll is amazingly good and of course I love Sam & Max and Bone .
And I started some time ago an experimental web comic but havent found the time to continue it... is not that good though but you can read it here www.dirtvex.blogspot.com
I only read a few in my childhood years. But after playing Arkham Asylum I've had the urge to get into the Batman comics. So far I've read Year One, The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, The Man Who Laughs, The Killing Joke, and Arkham Asylum (twisted!). I'm currently reading The Dark Knight Returns. Fantastic stories. Batman is awesome.

You've pretty much read all the best one :P Though I'm not a big fan of Dark Knight Returns.

Comics were awesome.
I think these were all of them:

That guy in the bottom-right looks alot like Aquaman.
That's "The Ferret" and, personality wise, he's probably a lot closer to Wolverine.
The Malibu imprint took a lot of lesser known characters from the 50s and updated them for the 90s. Was a good run.
