Know what I mean?

This is probably a terrible idea, but how many of who would think it awesome if telltale made an Ernest game?

It would be difficult, and maybe considered in poor taste by some due to Jim Varney no longer with us.
But if it was respectful and well done, it could be a gem.
Or maybe not.

I'm one of the biggest Ernest fans around and on some level the idea appeals to me but I don't think it can be pulled off. Especially without Jim. :(

If Jim Varney were still alive, it'd be a great idea, but since he's not, I think the character should stay retired.

Well, I think they could do him justice. I think anything that continues on such a forgotten story could be a good and positive thing for fans. I used to watch Ernest movies, they were funny when you were like 10 years old.

I don't really watch Ernest anymore, my children wouldn't ever know who he is, hell, I almost forgot who he is.

If TTG brings back Ernest they would do it because they saw potentinal in the character itself, they would have to reintroduce the character to long lost fans as well as a new audience.

    In my opinion.

LOL I knew this was going to be about Ernest when I saw the title. lol

I love Ernest. I grew up watching his movies and I still watch his movies every now and then. My favorites are Ernest Scared Stupid and Ernest goes to Jail. Jim Varney was actually a great actor but because his Ernest role was so popular he ended up doing just comedy. Most of them failed. However, he was great as Jed Clampett in the modern Beverly Hillbillies movie. He did theater before all that and it would have been great to see him take on more series roles, perhaps even westerns. It's a shame he passed away.

I do as well. Sadly, the ad agency he worked for doesn't agree. :(

I got to give one to the original Ernest, he's not easily replaced...but I think a game could still be done if they actually tried to do this right. But at the same time people seem to hate CGI reincarnations of the character.

To go on a slight tangent (on this site? Unheard of!) since we're on the subject of nostalgic revivals, I'd pay a sizable monetary value to see Telltale do a Wishbone game.

This has sparked my memory back to when I was a kid and they used to show the ernest shows on Sky one, I loved them! (Although I vaugley remember what ever happened in them)
