Not really. Almost none of the Telltale Games characters could work in a fighting game in any real meaningful way. Generally speaking, adventure game characters are adventure game characters because fighting isn't the(only) solution to their problems, and creating a moveset for them and making it feel natural is an impossible task.

I'd rather see a game made from The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny.

Considering the only good telltale fighters would be Max, and Lechuck(if they ever get his rights) probably not.
Although someone, somewhere on the internetz said something about Nintendo vs Capcom.
    That could work.

Who says it has to be a fighter? Namco X Capcom wasn't.

Still, the biggest problem is that Telltale doesn't actually have any characters.

Max and Sam could absolutely go crazy in a fighting game. Life low? Tag in Max for psychic power blasting and crazed biting action!

Strong Bad could be fun in this context but it would need to be comical again.

You just want to play as the unstoppable Fred Rogers and you know it.

WWE Smackdown Vs Raw Vs ECW Vs TTG 2013. I can't wait!

I could totally see Pirate God LeChuck working in the game, and maybe Max, but that's about it.

Guybrush could work as well, only we wouldn't see it. Like Club 41 in TOMI and Elaine's mansion in SOMI.

What about Maimtron 9000, General Skun-ka'pe, Flint Paper, Grandpa Stinky, Strong Mad, Trogdor and Dangeresque?

That would really work as LeChucks Special!

    *activate Special*
    "Arrrrgh, Threepwood! Get Them!"
    *screen goes black*
*lots of crashing and comical sounds*
*returns to fight with opponent on floor*

It could work, as a Super Smash Bros. clone. As a Street Fighter clone is would be a total fail, IMO.

Well, at least we'd get some gameplay this time (apart from when Guybrush is fighting that is).

Not really. I think that last fighting game I played more than once or twice was Mortal Kombat 3. Although in the name of honesty I must say that it's not that I wouldn't play well made fighting games, but I haven't seen many fighting games to PC after mid-90's.
