    the phone call to Sybil
    The War Room Song
    Max's Puppy Dog face
    Lincon's "Hulk" refferance

And generally prank calling everyone I could with the bug.:D

There were so many great lines in this one that it's hard to think of specifics. I'll do my best...

Well, I think the first really huge laugh was when Max recited digits of pi. "Max, do you have a piece of paper?" "Why? Do you want to write these down?" "No; I justed wanted to write myself a reminder to smother you in your sleep."

"I'll hold up two rags, and you tell me which one smells more like chloroform."

"Hooks for hands! Hooks for hands!"

There was also Max's line about everybody coming together to destroy the Godless Belgians.

And Max's campaign ad (on TV after you get rid of the president).

off the top of my head..

    -the presidents answering machine message
    -war song
    -sybil arriving at the whitehouse
-conversation with sybil where she says sams perfect partner is max and vice versa and then they say never to speak of this again
    - "its the borderline psychotics you need to worry about"
    -the nutcracker
    - the whole..flat/soda pop addiction run
    - the beacon in krypton..millions of years till the missile hits
    -carbon dating the hot dogs
    -carbon dating hugh bliss
    -phone call to pizza shop
    -translating the soda poppers conversation
  • edited March 2007
I think one of my most favorite parts was the end of the conversation with Sybil over the phone where the bug starts saying a whole bunch of evil things like "I'm going to kill you and rip your heart out!".
  • edited March 2007
Max's response to "I'm very spiritual" at Sybil's.

    Lovecraft FTW.
  • edited March 2007
    A laughed a lot, but to pick a couple of highlights;

The TV ad for Lincoln "New & Improved - now impervious to bullets"

    Leonard in the closet.

The Secret Service agents musical number.

Peepers running off at high speed drunk and crashing.

The presidential makeover of the desoto.

    "Sam did it!"

Oh, and Steve Purcell as George Washington.
  • edited March 2007
    Max: "Who you calling, Sam?"
    Sam: "Messta Pizza."
Bug: "I will fest on your entrails and devour your soul!"
    Max: "What did they say?"
Sam: "They said extra toppings are two bucks each, and they are out of entrails."

Sam: "Want to blow it up?"
Max: "Do you have to ask?"

And the entire joke involving Krypton with refferances to the Superman movie tha happen one right after the other.:D

He's also in the Newspaper Box. Apparently, he got attacked by a resident of Monkey Island.

i am suprised that no one has mentioned how superball stayed on the phone for most of the first act saying saying "hello....... hello, this is the white house" over and over again

i almost fell on the floor when i saw that he was still out there after chuckles throws you out
  • edited March 2007
It would be funnier if you used the bug to record him saying "Step away from the door" and he actually did that after calling him on the phone.

    I like the nutcracker joke
I didn't see this one coming when Whizzer drank the soda and made a rather disturbing statement
  • edited March 2007
The War Room song, hands down.

The joke about the former commie bastards made me chuckle :3
  • edited March 2007
-Max's joke about the former President (Harrison?) and the Pope.
-When shooting Lincoln... "Fool me once..."
-The super-long names for President Max
-The first conversation with Bosco... "Nyet!"

    Among countless others...

    Yes, among countless others:

    - The war song, of course!
    - The intro. I cannot believe no one mentioned it so far in this thread. Max pulling out the gun and saying in his maniac voice: "Get the keys."
    - When you try to carbon-date Bosco (wihtout success), Max says:
"That's your problem with dating. You always give up too fast."
    - Most of Max's lines during the election campaign. (Winner: "I have a dream to share...")

the nod to zork right at the very start was awsome
  • edited March 2007
Loved the joke about the "impostors" at the White House.

"Were they examining all the objects and engaging everyone in pointless conversations?"
  • edited March 2007
Sam's line about the dingo and an Adelaide hospital! Comic gold.
Keep up the good work, Telltale :)

    Cheers from downunder,
    Pete

Whizzer: "Which way is the bathroom?"
    President: "What did he say?"
Sam: "He said... which way to Lincon's Bedroom?"
President: "Oh, it's down the hall and to the right."
    *Whizzer runs off*
Max: "Sam, did you just send someone to defile the most famous room in history?"
    *Whizzer returns*
    Sam: "Apparently, I did."

When Sam guessed what Max prefered over Matchmaking, involving chloroform and a dark alley.

The instruction on how to use the bombcomputer.

Ohh, ...and the brilliant Intro :D

well.... that is not quite it....

    I was thinking more about....
Whizzer's "Fill me with that nectar" statement and Max disgusted by that

"O' sweet angels of carbonation! Fill me with your sweet nector!"

Needless to say, I said "Eww!" at the same time Max did, only with more of a laugh than with a tone of disgust.:D

I loved the response when you checked the age of Vincent and the donuts in your office.

t.v. announcer: "Stay tuned for Lincoln's gracous concession speech"
    Lincoln: "*CENSORED* THIS!"
  • edited March 2007
    I also liked:
    Carbon dating Lenard
    "Lincoln's" phone convo with Sybil
    The head in the pool.
The submarine was also a nice touch.
Superball's reaction to the exorcism recording over the phone
Everything having to do with Max's presidency. Especially his joke.
  • edited March 2007
The intro is a classic. I also liked Sams comment about "Two presidents in one afternoon".

Unfortunately, just at the moment Max made his comment about "The godless Belgians..." I was drinking a Leffe. Sinfull waste of Belgian beer all over my monitor. :D
  • edited March 2007
    Sam and Bosco's exchange:

"Do you have any wiener cozies?"
"Da ... wait, did you say wiener cozies? I thought you said Navajo blankets. We're all out of wiener cozies."

    Followed by:

"Do you have any Navajo blankets?"
    "Nyet."

Also... it's not a joke, but I was amused that while you can't shoot Superball, you CAN shoot
the secretarial ribbon on his chest
and he doesn't seem at all bothered!
  • edited March 2007
I just extracted the "Lincoln Chase" music and...wow. That's a really great bit of work. I really didn't hear that much of it during the game, so I'm really glad I gave it a listen on its own.
It's epic, relentlessly plodding, undeniably presidential, and downright whimsical, all at the same time. My hat goes off to Jared for that one.

Wow, very impressed by episode 4.

Favourite part was the intro, absolutely fantastic and paved the way for a great episode.

There were a lot of small things that made this the funniest so far

    Leonard in the cupboard
The war song, especially at the end when the agents are saying what war brings, "Bombs -Boom! ,Guns- Bang! and so much more- Napalm! that cracked me up.
Hugh Bliss "Age is Burnt Sienna"

More like that one please Telltale

    (and then Monkey Island)

    Please

Panda90: You might want to put all that in spoiler tags, so you're not giving away anything to anyone who hadn't played it yet.

All of the above and... I can't think of anything else to add right now. You guys covered a lot of them already.

Do your really think people who haven't played the episode are checking into a thread about its best jokes? They'd deserve to be spoilered... (or is it spoiled?) Anyway, since the thread-title is marked with "Spoilers" I guess spoiler-tags are redundant.
  • edited March 2007
i covered this thread with a spoiler veil to protect anyone who has not played the episode yet, and so that we can all talk freely

and anyone who reads a thread marked *Spoilers* for an episode they have not yet played is retared, because they are asking to learn gruesome things they do not yet want to know

and i do not know about the rest of you, but i avoid the threads about episodes i have not played completely................. if someone at telltale started a spoiler thread about episode 5,6, or the second season, i would veer away and not read it untill after i have played the episode............... that gives me an idea for an experiment....

Also, once the game is out and available to Gametap, season buyers, and one-at-a-time buyers, there's a little less need to hide spoilers quite so vigorously.

    That's me all over.

I'm glad I subscribed, otherwise I'd have ended up being able to quote half of Abe Lincoln must die before the official public release.
