BTTF Ep. 1 problem

for some reason i cannot start back to the future ep. 1, ive been able to install it but whenever i try to play it, it always gives me an error message. ive also tried running it as the admin. also when direct x tries to search for updates, it always fails because i am not connected to the internet, even though i always am. also i am using windows vista if that affects anything.

    You might want to check your system for spyware or anything that would cause the Game's files not to operate. also delete the game and reinstall it again, go through the whole setup and read through and if it does it again, you might need to do a system restore, I hope it works for you.
