"GET IT!" for "Get Tannen!" when already got

edited March 2011 in Back to the Future
Does anyone else experience this?

When I launch Back to the Future The Game and click on "Get Tannen!", I don't get a "PLAY!" button, but instead a "GET IT!" button, even though I have already got it previously and have played it to completion.

PS. On Windows 7 Ult.

Where did you buy it from? Either way I'm pretty sure that episode 2 has its own executable. If it's from steam it should just be in your library.

    I suggest downloading episode one.
If you have already, try running the game from the episode one launcher.
This happened to me, and if I remember correctly, this was the fix.
    Hope I could help.

I had the same problem. Re-installing the game, and saying "Yes" to add Episode 2's launcher to my desktop, solved the problem for me.

Open the episode 2 executable instead of the episode 1 one.

Doing this worked! (I had pinned the game shortcut to the start menu for quick access after installing the initial episode 1, and continued to run it from there. Still seems strange that it has a separate launcher for each episode, yet the launcher allows you to "launch any episode", but still requires me to launch the new one...). Regardless, it works. :)

    Thanks, everyone!

PS: I bought all episodes from right here on telltale. The episode shortcuts are in Start - All Programs - Games.
