Multiple Player Characters
I don't think anyone's posted this interview with Kirkman yet:

Interesting.

Asked whether players would operate as the series' main character, Rick Grimes, a mix of all the survivors, or entirely new characters, Kirkman said he could "neither confirm nor deny" whose perspective you'll play from in the game.
"You'll be playing as characters from 'The Walking Dead' for sure, and different levels you'll play as different people, so we'll see," he teased.
Interesting.

And if this it true than it denys my idea of a fire emblemesque thing where if somone dies, the game goes on until everyones dead.
Not completly impossible.
It would be difficult but worth it in the end.
Either way if we go throw the points of different people per episode then it would be pointless.
No, not worth it. The game's deaths would come off as completely arbitrary, rather than dramatically paced(as they are in the comic). Deaths of the main cast also often mean something, in terms of a character arc. On the other hand, I think that having a different character each episode(for example) allows us to follow a character through an arc and possibly even end the thing with their death, allowing us to follow a complete, dramatically fulfilling, and ark story arc. Gameplay matters and all that, but I don't think the idea is really worth that much in terms of merit. Gameplay can be used to create a compelling experience, but it would be difficult and I don't think it would be able to replicate the experience of a character dying in the actual comic(and at some point, all of your characters might die mid-season, which would be a pain).
I just always assumed that any deaths (besides some possible big game over moments) would just be apart of the story, and not neccisarily "free-form." It would make more sense story-wise and most likely cost effective-wise, as you mentioned.
I can't wait until we are allowed to actually start talking about the game. I guess that's around San Diego Comic-Con, which seems ages away right now, but for me I'm sure it'll seem to approach exponentially as deadlines get closer.
We all cant wait.
This and Puzzle Agent 2 are probably the main things I want from the telltale 5.
