iPad2-Improvements for Telltale-Episodes?

edited March 2011 in General Chat
The biggest problem of the telltale episodes on the iPad seems to be the meagerly RAM-limit of 256 MB.

I think it is a given, that all telltale episodes will perform much better on the iPad 2, since the doubled the RAM to 512 MB. But will there be other slight enhancements like antialiasing, better textures oder additonal effects?

Other games will be upgraded: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4215/apple-ipad-2-benchmarked-dualcore-cortex-a9-powervr-sgx-543mp2/3

I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
Seeing as Telltale barely spends time on updates anymore and hasn't even been able to release a whole season to Ipad...

While we're on the topic of iPad, is there any chance that telltale could offer some sort of discount to those of us who already purchased games for PC/Mac but want them on iPad too?

    Is that even possible?

Hopefully this thread will answer your question.

Yeah the Telltale iPad games really sing on the iPad 2. The framerate was limited by the hardware of the original iPad, not deliberately throttled in the engine code, so if you run the games on an iPad 2, they will already take advantage of the better gfx hardware.

I picked up an iPad 2 today and the first thing I installed was Sam & Max and BTTF. Both run very smoothly -- a real joy to play. No more dropped frames.

Telltale -- any plans to offer upgraded graphics for iPad 2 games (similar to Real Racing, where the graphics level is bumped up when the game detects it is running on an iPad 2) ?

Why? Do you miss the choppiness?

Haha :-) I should clarify "upgraded graphics that the graphics processor can still handle smoothly" :-)
