I'm a lot like Temperance Brennan in Bones. I get highly analytical about subjects I enjoy, I like to learn new things, and I find all facets of human expression very interesting. :)

I fall somewhere between Doug on king of queens and House on House.

Billy Cranston in early episodes of Power Rangers, minus the inventing.

I would have no idea. I'm not very good at analyzing what sort of person I am, so I'd have no hope of comparing myself to a fictional character.

    Gaius Baltar from Battlestar Galactica.
I come from a rural area and absolutely hate it, aspiring for a life amongst the cities. I have tried extensively to cover up my accent (though Baltar was far more successful as anyone who has heard me speak may likely claim.)
Furthermore, I'm fairly intelligent and rational when the situation calls for it; but am also given to flights of fancy. Oh, and I hallucinate vividly about hot blonde cyborgs out to kill humanity.

Whenever I take one of those online quizzes to see what character I'm most like, I always end up being most like my favorite character from that particular series. This is probably because I cheat and choose the answers that I know will yield my favorite character.

Anywho, according to the internet, I am most like:
    Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist)
    Hiei Jaganshi (Yu Yu Hakusho)
    Spike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
    The Third Doctor (Doctor Who)
    Topher Brink (Dollhouse)
    Rodney McKay (Stargate Atlantis)
    and Piccolo (Dragonball Z)

    A scary combination...

I suppose I should also be slightly worried that these are all men. :D

I bet it's unconscious cheating. I always end up as...

Captain Picard - Star Trek: TNG
Colonel Tigh and Admiral Adama - Battlestar Galactica
    Vegeta - Dragonball Z
    Ozu - The Tatami Galaxy
Jayne Cobb - Firefly... actually, aside from his backstabbing tendencies, that one may have some truth.

Anyway they're also my favorite characters. They show up as my 'most like' characters. That's the point.

Hm... Maybe you just have a masculine personality?

This is probably true. Also, I tend to choose the funniest (to me, anyway) characters in any given show as my favorites, and funny characters are seldom women. It is a sad fact of life.

Sadly true. Sadly very true. If they are funny, they're seldom as funny as the funny men. Again, sad facts of a sad life.

Yup. Maybe someday it will change, and I will get a slightly less inaccurate reading from random internet quizzes. Then, all will be well in the world.

I am like a cross between Jez and Mark from Peep Show. I have all the paronia and lack of self confidence that Mark has, mixed with the spiritualist garbage and drug taking that Jez is associated with.

If I could be like any TV character then I would want to be like Tim from The Life and Times of Tim. I love the way he approaches problems in life in such an understated way.

Minus the inventing but not minus the usage of the word "morphenominal" I hope.

As for me, I would compare myself to Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. If I lost an eye I'm almost certain that I, too, would make Nick Fury references about myself.

My friend and I were talking about this topic the other day and you're so right. Dee from Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Liz Lemon from 30 Rock are the only female characters I can really say I find above-average funny on TV right now, and even in both those cases they're still overshadowed by multiple male characters.
