anyone else hate Jennifer's dad in episode 3?

Jennifer's dad in episode 3? He just felt like the same exact same character as his father. We also saw a second of him in the first movie Jennifers_dad_amc_eagle.jpgwhy not have a different va/model/job for him?

    It's confirmed that he is NOT a cop in the original timeline. He seems more confident than his father.

    But he's no more like his father than Artie is like George.

    I think they actually have to get the rights to the actor's likeness if they want to model a video game character on them.

    They should have just changed his radiator grille so it's horizontal instead of vertical. :p

    None of the characters look the same as they do in the movie. They are more like cartoon caricatures. Sorry to burst bubbles.

    Bull. He shouts at Jennifer to get into the car. That was the most epic part of the movie.

    What are you talking about? He said one of the most powerfully delievered lines in screenplay history.

    "Jennifer!"

    Brilliant execution of emotion and passion. The way he pulls up in the car shows his character's true motivation for the film and sets the tone for the entire movie. I'm amazed that the Academy didn't hand him an Oscar right then and there.

    Unmatched driving abilities, flawless acting and an unparalleled sense of film direction; Jennifer's dad was truly years ahead of his time.

    Well think about this. In a society built on law and order, what job would a cop want his son to have? Shoe salesman? Heck no. "Son, you're gonna be a great cop, just like your old man!"

    That was kind of the whole point...and part of the reason why Jennifer became such a rebellious character.

    Plus, you've overlooked one key difference between the two...the epic 'stache!

    Jennifer's dad cannot look like his movie self due to actor rights.

    Also, one of the points of BttF is that characters keep appearances and personality traits across generations and timelines. So it makes sense for Jennifer's dad to look like his dad. In fact he could still be a cop in that scene in 1985 as well, but not on duty.

    Also time travel can change an infinite number of things.
