Vocaloid, Miku, and MMD
Sup guys? What do you guys think of Vocaloid, Hatusune Miku, and MMD? She's a teenage girl, or rather a virtual representation of one. She's quite popular in Japan. Vocaloid is the software used to create her and other characters. Miku Miku Dance (MMD) is a program that allows people to create videos and animations using Miku and other Vocaloid characters. I was surprised when I discovered that some people at my high school knew who she was. Watch the videos, discuss, and share your own in this thread.

It's kind of neat that the software allows you to make a machanima like that. Er.. that IS what it does, right? It seems like you can do a lot with it. Can you switch add cool--I mean, other characters to it, or do you just have these ones?
And this was approximately my reaction to seeing the 'live' performance.
I'm referring to the diehards that create incredibly elaborate backstories and lives for each Vocaloid voice, of course, not the people who actually use it as a synthesizer.
I think they can add other characters, since Snake from Metal Gear Solid is in one.
