A Sneak Peek at Telltale's Future Projects?
I found this article talking to Telltale CEO Dan Connors. Pretty interesting read, but this is the big part for me.
This isn't an official announcement for anything, of course, but make of it what you will.
"Right now, we're looking at movies that are coming out in the next 12-18 months and looking at the cartoon series as far as what we're going to [do next]," says Connors. "We capture comedy in such a way that the South Parks, Simpsons and Family Guys of the world seem perfect for us. That's something we're always thinking about [though no deals have been struck]."

Did they say that? While I don't care about Law and Order, I might be tempted to get it if it was like Phoenix Wright...
By Phoenix Wright style I mean them saying they were inspired and would be interested in Law properties. This was around the time the pilot program seemed a tad more consistent then it has become.
I'm not worried about "the death of Telltale" happening anytime soon (though if they actually do make a Star Wars game I'm going to be pissed as hell), but I do wish they wouldn't be so afraid to do non-licensed games. I get that pre-existing names get more attention than original ones, but wouldn't it be great to have some pre-existing names to call your own?
To date, Telltale's only original IPs are Telltale Texas Hold 'Em (which was just a crappy engine demo they decided to sell) and Puzzle Agent (which they don't give the same amount of respect as they do for their licensed games. And since it's based off Grickle, even this is semi-derivative).
It's no more their IP than Sam and Max was Lucasarts' IP. It's a licensed title like everything else they've made, the only difference is that Grickle isn't as "big" of a license, and that the license holder happens to be a former TTG employee.
At best, they own the title Puzzle Agent and the characters created for the game. The game uses the Grickle license, so anything pre-existing in the Grickle world, such as the hidden people, still belongs exclusively to Graham Annable.
I wanna be voiced by Nicki Rapp.
It's the role Tress MacNeille was born to play!
Sweet! Mom's voice!
I still say we need to be a Rogers and Hammerstein musical! That being said, call me Threadkiller.
As long as I'm voiced by John "Walter Sobchak" Goodman, you can be voiced by Jesus for all I care. His voice is probably high pitched and he didn't know English anyway. Sucks to be you.
I hate The Internet.
Wait, which one?
Wish I had the skills to sound that dumb. As a german trying to speak english like him still feels like learning a new language.
Well said.
I personally don't care for a simpsons game at all. Family Guy? Hell NO! Intellectually appealing to me right here
Well SouthPark is great. But for me it's good as a cartoon series, I don't need a game.
I had to look up what Law & Order is and I'll pass on that one too. CSI? don't care either.
But actually I havn't started S&M 3 yet and will buy W&G and ToMI sonner or later. I'm looking forward to JP, Hector and PA2, being curious about TWD and still have some hope for BttF beeing a great game atmosphere-wise so...
as long as they make a faire share but still release a great game here and then I'm gonna have a trolldance for you long-time-supporting customers who truly deserve games the world doesn't need
This one.
I would like a Futurama or Venture Brothers game. I can't think of any movies I want to see as a game right now. I know Venture would be hard due to its small cast and character who are always changing, but I can dream.
