[ToMI] Chapter 1 problem

Just downloaded Monkey Island onto PC and all Chapters work except Chapter 1 where I get an error message saying it has encountered a problem and has to shut down. Any ideas???

    when/where does it encounter that problem?

    Also, just to make sure: You are talking about Tales, right?

    It happens when I try to launch Screaming Narwhal chapter

    I would try an uninstall and reinstall. If that doesn't work try downloading chapter 1 again and reinstall it.

    I was bored waiting for the next MI so I bought Wallace and Grommet to play and had a similar problem with Chapter 2.
