Free idea about PSN attack

I am supremely glad that Telltale Games is here and thriving. I can't imagine anyone who isn't impressed with the IPs they acquire and the attention and care they take in transforming them into good games. I'm sure they have attracted many ex-Lucasarts gamers in the process.

They again captured more respect in their handling of the Jurassic Park delay. Even though I had not pre-ordered the game, I could appreciate what they did for their fans and customers. With all the good press, I'm sure they attracted many who had never heard of them before.

Now they have another opportunity to attract with the PSN outage.

Many people I know are growing very impatient to get their hands on the next installment of Back to the Future (which should have become available by now on the PSN). Perhaps it would be worth looking at a way to reach those fans and customers too. Good press and free advertising from the same sources that reported the Jurassic Park delay would help to spread the word quickly.

One idea could be making the episode available for the PC is some form. Free would be a good move, but I think maybe people would be ok with a (very) small fee. This would introduce more to the PC world of Telltale and a much wider selection of games. I bet that there are many console gamers that have not had an interest in PC gaming, but would 'give it a shot' for such an offer.

I'm not sure of the logistics of such a move, but that should get the wheels turning for your creative or marketing staff for other ideas too.

Also, jump on it pretty fast. Looks like the PSN is down for the weekend, but if it is down for any length of time next week too, you will have a lot of angry and frustrated people who you could reach with some good news.

Good Luck,
Mike
