I apologize greatly if a thread about Trenched has already existed, but I don't see one around, so, here we go. I saw the Quick Look at Giant Bomb, and it looks pretty cool.

Well, it's XBLA, which means that I won't be able to play it due to my lack of Xbox, but still...

I like tower defense games. I love mech games. I love DoubleFine. This one is kind of a no brainer for me.

I'm actually relieved that Trenched is the only game from Double Fine that I'm unable to play (due to my lack of a 360). It looks okay I suppose, if a little straight laced for what I've come to expect from Double Fine, but it's just not a genre which interests me. I just hope I don't miss out on future Double Fine titles, Sesame Street excluded. I can live without that one.

I think the story and premise sounds brilliantly wacky, but I don't like tower defence games. Either way, I kinda don't like how just about every Double Fine game since Psychonauts have been cursed with sluggish and unresponsive controls. Psychonauts controlled flawlessly and was incredibly responsive, but Brütal Legend and Stacked have both lacked that responsiveness that Psychonauts had (yes I'm currently playing through Psychonauts and the difference is actually huge).

    Not played Costume Quest though.

Brutal Legend was actually the last DF game I played. I don't have an Xbox. My cousin gave me his and I got a chance to play Brutal Legend, but then the Xbox broke. I can't afford to buy a new one, so I'm just hoping that one day, DF XBLA games come to PC.
