Can't close culture shock

Hey I just got the Sam & Max collection on Steam and when I closed out of the game it put me back in the office like it was the beginning of the game again. When I moved my mouse the steam menu stuff would flash up for a second. Then when I used ctrl+alt+del on it it did the same thing to that menu. I had to manually restart my computer and now I haven't played it yet to see if it would do it again because I don't want to have to keep restarting my computer. Please Help Me!

    Nevermind I know what the problem was and I didn't need to fix anything.
