I loved the original and I love the sequel. Akril is a fantastic artist, animator, writer, AND game designer from the looks of things. These games are brilliant. If you're any kind of adventure fan at all you must play these!
Wow -- I'm honestly flattered at my game getting plugged here. Thanks a lot, tredlow and MI!
I'll try them. I hope they are capable of running under WINE ...
I don't know too much about the compatibility of AGS games under newer systems. I've heard that even the newer games have issues with widescreen monitors and Windows 7, but although my system is fairly ancient in computer years, it still works fine, so I haven't really bothered upgrading.
Played it. It's awesome, but kind of anti-action games, which is fine I guess.
Er -- thanks...?
In all seriousness, though, I did get a little "action=bad" in this game at times, but as I stressed on the game's extras page, I do not hate action games, nor do I think adventure games are the only computer games in the world worth playing. It's just that the rough history that the action and adventure computer game genres have had (plus the mostly negative reactions whenever action is injected into an adventure game franchise) were perfect material for an adventure game about adventure games. (And thanks again!)

Oh, I didn't see the extras page. Well, I never thought YOU personally hated action games. I was talking about how the game depicted that adventure game characters hate them, and I can see why they do.
I've finished the second and it's even more brilliant than the first. Makes me want to play the first one again! And hope for a third title!
Akril truly is a fantastic writer. I thought I had these games figured out but they kept surprising me for the better. Any self-respecting fan of classic adventure games NEEDS to play these games. It's that simple. Not just for the content, but they're just so well-written and truly interesting commentaries on the state of adventure gaming today, how we look at it, and how we remember the past.

You're welcome.

You owe it to yourselves to play these games.
