The "Start Game" window - any remedies?

A small nitpick I guess, but still feedback, is about the "Start Game" windows that come up.

Since I've had to use more than one of the options to start my game, "Play Demo", "I've Already Purchased This" and even the "Activation Support" option, I've noticed something that gets irritating.

If you cancel it, it doesn't stop the program, but jumps in anyway, even if you don't want to run the demo (which also happens on mistakes with entering Keys and the like, such as password error).

And even if you decide against the option you chose, there's no way backwards to the main options, only forward, into the demo.

Cue alt+tabbing, ctrl+alt+del and the like to escape it, in some cases, like with password errors, SEVERAL tries.

Any way to remedy this, even if for future episodes of titles?
(I'm using Sam and Max for an example, but it applies to BONE and others too.)

The launcher program that we use there is all part of the integrated 3rd party shopping / serial number / activation / copy protection system that we've been using for our games. Everyone here knows that the "if you quit the launchre in any way, the game runs anyway" thing is horribly lame, because we have to use it every day, and it does provide many features that we do want... but, it's not software we wrote, so we can't easily change things we don't like, like that horrible quit bug.

But! We're working in house and with our partners to fix these sorts of problems though, for future releases, so stay tuned, and sorry for the occasional awkwardness of the launcher at the moment. :(

You can avoid this by doing ctrl-alt-del and stopping Sam & Max on the Processes tab BEFORE launching the game (while you're still on the launcher screen). Not sexy, but it works. I do it all the time. :D
