how big is that? can't really tell from the pic, but it looks pretty large.

Here's a baby afghan I made for my buddy's son... ironically they named him Noah and I had finished the afghan months before they even came up with the name... (sorry for the lousy quality)

Actually, it's not all that big. It's 12X14 inches actually, but it might look bigger in the picture because the stitches are really small. Like ridiculously small. I have to keep all the lights on in my room just to be able to see where I've stitched already!

I figured the pattern must be really big, or the stitches really small xDD

I've done some papercraft in the past, but I'm not so great at it. The fact that I used printer paper and a glue stick probably didn't help =P I could never even DREAM of making Howl's Moving Castle!

This little Link papercraft here is about the most advanced thing I ever made (sorry about crap picture quality)

you need to use cardstock and tacky glue to have any success in papercraft

I attempted to make the original Power Rangers' Megazord out of money straps at work one day. I had to use purple for the Black Ranger's zord. :(

Isn't it amazing what you can accomplish when you have 26 seasons of doctor who to catch up on =D

    Awesome stuff!
But post it in the Legenday Art Thread. That thread is dying man!
  • edited July 2011
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe this thread should be merged with the Legendary Art Thread?

You made the Max plushie yourself? You are one talented person. I'm one (out of many) that wish Max plushies would become a reality. Not to mention, having the plushie talk is just that much more impressive. Well done!

That Max plushie is pretty awesome :D I want one!

Wow! Loving all the cool arts and crafts! I have some scrapbooking stuff I might take pics of....

Thanks a bunch, guys :D Yeah I made it myself. It was a Xmas present for my 6 years old. She loves the hell of that plushie.

I'd also think it would make sense to merge the two, without babbling why...

The rabbit is called little buddy, anyone ever think about that before?

I just started experimenting with a style of crochet called "tunisian Crochet" It's almost like knitting with a hook... nice thing about it is that I can take simple cross-stitch patterns and crochet them =D So i've started a childs afghan using left-over yarn and I'm designing it myself using cross-stitch patterns =) It's going to feature alphabet letters with bluebirds and a birdhouse smack dab in the center of the bottom of the pattern

Here's a little preview of how it looks. 51b90.jpg

This style of crochet curls somewhat at the beginning and end because of how the yarn naturally is drawn to the back of the design... once I stitch the pieces together, and steam block it it should lay fairly flat =D

Note: When I took this picture I had attempted to do the embroidered parts with black yarn, since then I have pulled that all out and have decided to actually get some real embroidery thread =D
