[Puzzle Agent 2] Slow performance on iPad (1)

edited July 2011 in Game Support
Hi,

I'm having issues with Puzzle Agent 2 on my iPad (1).

The game feels like it runs at around 10fps. Almost all cut-scenes fail to play properly, any voice over audio falls behind and gets cut off constantly. Feels like the game is running low on system resources.

There's 5GB free disk space.

I've tried to reinstall, reboot and even restored my iOS this morning: No change!

Anyone else got similar issues or ideas what's wrong here?

PS: Puzzle Agent 1 on the same device works fine without any issues.

Edit

Part 2 is pretty much not lip-synced at all on my device:

(I've recorded this with my iPhone, sorry for the bad quality)

Here's the same "Gum" scene from the PC Version:

Well the animation is purposely "choppy" or "stilted" sometimes; it's Graham Annable's style. Unless what you're describing is more intense than that.

The audio definitely sounds like a problem, though.

I'm familiar with Graham's Style, I've played the first game and I like it. :) I also adore the scaling.

The lag I'm talking about is happening in the UI and in cut-scenes: Game gets stuck for 2-3 seconds, audio is falling behind and gets cut off.

One more thing: Part 2 is pretty much not lip-synced at all on my device:

Puzzle Agent 1 was as good as it gets with the animation technique:

Maybe this is related to my problem?

So I'm the only one with this problem? :-(

Guess I'll have to wait for a Steam sale then.

We're actually working on a patch that should make this work better on the iPad 1 and 3rd gen iPhones and iPods.

Having the same problem. Adored the first one, gifted the first and second one to my sister on Steam, went to play it on the iPad 1, decided I liked it too much to play it in such a terrible state. Have been waiting since for an update...
