dxdiag
Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.
Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.
Then zip the file and attach it to a reply in this Thread.
When I run the game I receive no error nore nothing, when I check the task manager the process BackToTheFuture_101 is running but doing nothing.
I'm running Windows XP SP3 fully updated and NVidia 7300.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, running compatibility windows NT-2000-95-98 etc and I'm sure running with administrators rights.
Here is the dxdiag too, aniway dxdiag stops at directinput check...maybe the prob?
Thanks for help
Simon
The games require a display color depth of 32 bit. There are instructions for changing it in the FAQ.
Your old sound driver can be a problem too. Here's the latest version.
As for the Direct Input crashes, try unplugging unnecessary USB devices.
Same as before.
Here is the new dxdiag.
Is there some sort of game,or test I may run to check what generate the error?
Some others games installed works smoothly.
Thanks aniway

Do you by any chance have LUA for Windows installed? It conflicts with the games.
Are the other games that work from TTG too?
As a next step you could try running the game during a clean boot.
Booting clean in Windows XP:
1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart
8. After reboot, run the game to see if it works.
After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing the following:
1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
3. Click OK
4. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer
Aniway here is the new one.
I tried running the game on a clean boot and...I had something, the game locked immediately, because I had no access to web, so he could not unlock himself but I had at least one screen.
The games I sad to be working aren't TTG, other's party, some oldies as Age of Empires 2 and, some newer like Starcraft 2.
LUA is not installed, I never knew about it before.
Okay, that's good. Next i would try the same with a working internet connection, so you can activate the episodes.
The clean boot shows us that some other software you normally have running interferes with the games. You can narrow down which one, by only unchecking (i.e. disabling) selected services in step 8 of the clean boot instructions.
Most likely candidates are Security Software products, such as Anti Virus or Software Firewalls.
Once you have identified the problematic Software, we can see what there's to do about it.
I tried disabling all third party services but still does not works.
Seem really an optional windows service...but don't know which one.
So I'm tryin' some solution...random.
Thanks.
I will update.
