More Wii games?
Personally I would be happier if they choosed to drop that old Wii console...
Wii limited very much the creative experience of Tales. Also, Wii isn't capable of extensive 3d graphic and it's not powerful.

Will TT compromise its graphics evolution to support such old piece of hardware?
I hope not.

It wasn't the wii that limited tales, so much as wiiware. Disc based releases would have no such problem. Plus, the wii is more powerfull than the iPad (In some terms), so you can't really say it'll hold it back. TBH, I think this is to cover the likes of sam and max series 3 and back to the future. Releases that are already out on other platforms.

As long as they just do retail releases, they'll be fine.

The thumbs down in the topic is in very poor taste.

Come on Telltale! MAKE A 3DS GAME!! I will buy that day 1!

They should really get Puzzle Agent on the eShop, prime audience for them there

    Absolutely agreed :)

I guess the problem with the Wii is, that Telltale's engine sucks on it... at least it did back then. With some optimizations in that department it might be a great platform for their games.

Wii U is right around the corner. Wouldn't that be more of their goal?

The WiiWare version of Tales looked so crappy because it was a WiiWare game, not a Wii game. I'm sure that every Telltale game could be brought to the Wii as a disc release with little difficulty. They might need a graphical downgrade, but nowhere near as severe as the one Tales got.

I doubt Telltale will make any 3DS games, though. Keep in mind they're a PC developer first and a console developer second. I don't see them making anything 3DS-exclusive, nor do I really see any of their games transitioning well to the 3DS. (Not to mention the 3DS in general isn't in a very good state right now.)

I think the real question is what this will mean for Telltale on the Wii U. I can kind of see that working. Maybe have the game itself on the TV, with the controller screen showing the inventory? It might even be possible to transfer the whole game onto the controller if you need to.

Anyway, this is good news. Lately Telltale's been putting a lot of stuff on the PS3 while giving the other two consoles the shaft. But between this and the Microsoft publishing deal, now all the console gamers can see what they've been missing out on. ;)

As long as they're better than the Wii version of Sam & Max, I'll be happy. Seriously, that port was crippled.

The Wii ports of Sam and Max were handled by The Adventure Company (Season 1) and Atari (Season 2). I'm sure if Telltale did the porting themselves it would've turned out a lot more...competent.

    Wii U

It's a bit early for them to think about the Wii U. It's not as if these Wii games that they'll be releasing won't work on the Wii U and as there is already a market for their games on the Wii, it's a bit dickish to just ignore them for the next console which won't be here for at least a year.

The reason they should focus on the Wii U, especially if they're going to continue digital distribution, is because a wider bandwidth of downloadspace (assuming Nintendo's claim to be expanding its online model is true) would allow greater flexibility in the game design to work at a higher graphic/audio level across all the major consoles. Wii isn't exactly a workhorse.

Well like I said there's plenty of time for that.

It's definitely not too early. The Wii U's coming out next year, after all. Plenty of companies are already developing games for it (even if most of the stuff announced has just been ports so far). If Telltale's an official Nintendo publisher now, it'd be foolish of them to not start looking at the Wii U.

That being said, they definitely shouldn't ignore the Wii either. And since their first act as an official Nintendo publisher is bringing BttF to the Wii, it's clear they aren't.

Ok, so my wording is a bit off. It's not too early to think about developing for the Wii U but it is probably too early to announce if they are or not, at least if they've not got anything officially sorted with Nintendo regarding it.

They also signed a deal with Sony too. Unfortunately it doesn't affect me since it's the american branches only, but good news for NA.

Telltale aren't done making games yet. Maybe we'll see King's Quest on the Wii U.

Tell that to Nintendo of America and their refusal to release several Wii RPGs that were rated very highly in Japan and are already localized in English for the European release. Argh.

Not really NoA's fault Scnew. Basically, those three games weren't on the docket when Reggie fils-Aime(NoA's CEO for those not in the know) went to the corp. HQ in Japan to decide what games to bring over. NoA only handles localizations and distribution. They don't really get to decide what to bring. That said, Reggie has said that NoA will be watching how the games fare in Europe. And since Xenoblade is having trouble keeping up with demand, that's a good sign.

You should just import honestly. It isn't that hard to get round region locking. I had to do it myself for Arc Rise Fantasia which didn't make it to Europe.

Ugh...damn shame too, you'd have probably gotten a better localization. I couldn't even watch a full review of that game, the voices made my ears cry. :( I was so interested in it too...
