As the ONLY person who was more upset when "Gabe announces Episode 3 Cancelled" turned out to be, yes THAT Gabe, and THAT episode 3, and as someone who loves Zeboyd's last two games, I'm totally on board.

Huh. Guess I should play the first two episodes.

I was pretty upset when they canceled episode 3. I was on board for the first two.

I was pretty excited about the game when it was announced, but I never really got around to picking it up. I got the first two episodes when they were on sale on Steam a while back, but I haven't gotten to them yet.

I just bought the first two episodes when it was on a pretty sweet deal (of like $2) on Steam back in June or whatever it was. Now I can play through them knowing there will be closure.

    MY GOD YES.

No matter what everyone else says, -might be a little overstatement to even the most wholehearted fans- Precipice episodes are, to me, a breakthrough. Storyline is perfect and even the actual gameplay is gimmicky and reliant on muscle reflexes, it tries to blend skill AND rpg elements, which I can always get behind.

I love what they did with the storyline, it's absolutely fantastic. That's why I was severely disappointed about the third episode being only readable. I... just... don't like reading, not to mention the writing felt like it was all over the place. This news is absolutely fantastic, though.

    Bitch please.

Make that three people. I am so goddamn excited for this. I'd prefer the feel of the first two eps, but Zeboyd is good people.

Wait, are they only doing one episode? But two gods still wait on the windowsill!

Good news, but opens up quite a bit of questions...

Like how the game will be reworked for the new art style, any kind of savegame carryover? etc

And most importantly, will the narrator be in this one?

How exciting, I always wanted to try them out but didn't bother to buy them when I heard the last episode was cancelled. Now I have a decent exscuse to buy them.

They're amazing. There you go! Another excuse to buy them!

If they're only doing one rather than the originally planned two, Episode 3 will probably be based at least partly on Tycho's prose version. According to that, the Fourth God gets... special treatment.
And when that candle, bare and white,
Sheds at last its dancing light
Then we will rouse, with raiséd rod
To pierce the very house of God.

    Raise the shields, children!

Now that that's out of the way, a Penny Arcade 16-bit RPG by the Cthulhu Saves the World people? Yay.

Looks like Santa's near! Raise the shields, children!
    XD

Ah, replaying both episodes, to refresh my mind. I knew there was some collectible in Ep. 2 to be used in Ep. 3, but couldn't remember what it was.

Right. I just finished playing both episodes. Maybe during the week/next weekend I will replay Episode 2 in Insane Mode to finally get the missing costume.

:D HAHA Are you serious? I knew about M. Bison's yes, but 10 minutes of YES! YES!

    lol!

To tell you the truth, I dislike the idea of releasing it in 16 bit RPG format. I think it would be better for Zeboyd to step aside from their usual approach and release the game in the same graphic style as episodes 1 and 2.

...I don't think it's possible for them to do that. Zeboyd seems to only make 16-bit RPGs.

Maybe they could be convinced to make it a 32-bit RPG?

As a newly converted Penny Arcade fan, I am happy about this.
I bought the 2 first episodes in the Steam sale, but more is always welcome. :)
