Samus Aran: best NES Metroid ending.

Well, yeah, there's that. But hey, the most we know for certain that Lucrezia and Cesare did together was kiss.

And she wanted to be his queen.

This insinuates, for me, that she was at least wanted to bang her maniacal brother, whether or not it actually occurred.

Don´t laugh, but it was Guybrush from MI3... :p

True story: when I first got The Curse of Monkey Island, my boyfriend of back then was totally jealous of all the time I spent with Guybrush.

I'm amazed at the thought that we all thought the original Lara Croft model was hot back in the day.

And yes. Tomb Raider 1 was the first PC game I ever bought. And it scared the living crap out of me.

I think whoever made that first model should have read the "Boobs: An Artistic Discussion" thread.

Find me a more realistic representation of breasts in the same era. I'm not sure there was much they could do with the technology of the time.

I was referring to the placement more than the polygons. They're far too high on her chest. In this regard, I'd say that the Elaine model from Escape would be more realistic, even though it has fewer polygons, simply because the placement is better.

From what I've heard and read about it, the story was stupid, the controls sucked, and there was a serious lack of tombs being explored.

Certainly, the fact that Lara is a busty woman is a factor in the Tomb Raider series' notoriety. As far as gameplay is concerned however, sexual attractiveness only goes so far. I'm sure you already knew that, so I don't know why you said that (your opinion of) her looks are the reason why AoD wasn't successful.

You really thought my post was serious when I replaced the word tits with a picture of 2 great tits? Wow.:D
I know why this game sucked and it is the only game in the series before Anniversary that I do not own.

Considering that Lara was the first third person, 3-dimensional female protagonist; and how she can be feminine yet still a total badass?

Oh yes she was an icon back then. Running around shooting wild animals, dinosaurs and horrible flesh-monsters. Men wanted her, women wanted to be her. And she was marketed to the max.

This. Hell, I STILL want to be like Lara. What an awesome lady.

That was TR2 with the shower scene at the end.

(for anyone wondering, no she wasn't seen nude. She was getting ready to take a shower, turns to the camera and says "I think you've seen enough", or something similar.)

I mean, sure, she's rich, hot, intelligent, and shoots dinosaurs for a living, but she's not a Telltale Games Forum moderator. So she's probably totally jealous of you.

Actually, that was a mistake. Someone slipped with his mouse and upped her chest size by 150%, and the development team told him to keep it that way.

I stand corrected. I forgot that Cesare got to second base. With his sister. On-screen. I know it's history, but what the hell, Ubisoft?

    I know, right?

I mean, a guy would have to be pretty messed up to develop a crush on her after that.

Really, I pin the whole thing more on Cesare. I kind of feel the same way about it as "Damn her Borgia ways!" Perotto, blaming it on her upbringing and environment. She' was left absurdly lonely all the time, which Cesare completely took advantage of (she wasn't sick, she was desperate for anybody to show her affection).

Also, she spent six years crying her eyes out all the time because she had to watch her illegitimate son with Perotto being raised as Cesare's, told that she was his aunt. Then after six years of that, the kid ran away from home to join up with the Assassins and she never saw him again.

Plus there was that thing where Cesare started threatening her and choking her to get her to tell him where the Apple was, then he betrayed her and told her he only saw her as his sister. And she had to endure three more years of watching him raise Giovanni after this.

Oh, and then she ended up in what seems to have been another loveless marriage (her third, the first two of which were arranged by her father before she was 13), and had her emotions played by Ezio so he could get information out of her. And after that, she spent the rest of her life repenting and praying.

So yeah, Lucrezia Borgia was dealt a ridiculously shitty hand in life, despite being born into a position of wealth and power.

And I totally didn't mean to rant like that. Just so you know, it wasn't that I was taking you too seriously, I just got carried away.

I haven't even played this game and I'm already love with this guy just for the total badassery. And the fact that he's obviously created for the player to sort of hate him just because everyone else does. Vernon Roche...might make me shell out thirty bucks so that I can actually play the game. CURSES, VERNON! WHY HAVE YOU MANIPULATED ME SO?!

FF4 is probably my favorite game in the series, but I don't find a whole lot to be interested in when it comes to Rosa. Pretty much her entire personality is based around "I love Cecil." Boooring.
  • edited September 2011
Scnew I love you. I love FF 3, 4, 5, 6, I love those games! I love the 4th, and the 5th. I really liked the fifth, it was my 1st original game of the original 6 in the series.
  • edited September 2011
I've never been able to bring myself to finish FF5. Just not really into the jobs system. I like it in FF Tactics, but somehow it just doesn't work for me in a 'normal' Final Fantasy. I could never finish Final Fantasy X-2 either.
  • edited September 2011
I just started War of the Lions, and I don't know if I can handle it. The job system seems more convoluted, and it seems like it's missing a lot of what I loved about Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Tactics A2.

And as not to derail the thread, I have yet to see any crush-worthy characters in it. At least the other Tactics games had ridiculously cute Viera.

Jan Ors from Star Wars Dark Forces II. At least she was played by an actual actress in the cut scenes

    JanOrs.jpg

she was played by actress/model Angela Harry... who is definitely crush worthy.
