Am I victim of a glitch? BTTF 1

Hi,
in BTTF part 1, I'm stuck in the soup kitchen. I'm supposed to lower the elevator, but the cut scene of the mobster using the elevator himself will not play for love nor money.

I think it may have glitched- any advice? Thanks

    There were a couple of people who ran into that back then. They discussed it here.

    Thanks, but none of the suggestions are working- the elevator cut scene still hasn't played.

    Sadly I don't know much about the glitch myself. If everything else fails you are probably best off using the savegame posted here.
