So... I guess someone on Facebook posted the recipe for grog from Monkey Island. And then a news organization read said post and thought it was something other than a joke. And then hilarity ensued!

IIRC, it wasn't actually in the news, but rather in some humor show or whatever, and then non-Argentinians misunderstood.

Nope, it was an actual news show. To be precise, a segment on a 24-hour newschannel called C5N, Canal 5 Noticias.

I have copies saved somewhere of the article the doctor consulted there wrote to apologize.
