Please buy my band's single!
As most of you probably have no idea, I'm in a music group called EDIFY. It's a Christian music group consisting of myself and a friend of mine. It's classified as hip-hop but we're always experimenting with other genres and blending things together. We're not typical (I wouldn't have it any other way!). So far we've been working with contemporary, metal, acoustic, pop, electronic, and other styles. Maybe we'll even do something with neo-classical and orchestral sometime. We've finally got our first single out the door called Superstar. It's already playing on a few radio stations in Canada and the US (and possibly the UK, I'm not sure). We've got a few shows lined up in Winnipeg in the next coming months if you're near. In January sometime we may be possibly opening for a group called FM Static which is made up of the same musicians and artists as the internationally known Christian rock band Thousand Foot Krutch so that's a pretty decent break. And in November we're touring with a band called That Place in Ontario.
Come check us out! http://edifymusic.ca/ Even if you don't particularly care for the message or even for the style of music that's ok. You can set your own price! (with a minimum limit of 89 cents) And if you don't feel like shelling out your hard earned pennies, please spread the word about us if you may know of somebody who might be interested!
It's been a very long road getting this all together and moving forward. Originally we had a 7-piece band called The Free Agency which went nowhere for the longest time. Slowly everyone departed and it was just my friend and I left which is fine because we were already working closely together anyway. I'm the composer and guitarist for the group and my friend Alex is the lyricist and vocalist. We had a guest female vocalist on this particular song named Dee Liandra who did a simply phenomenal job. Our first album is coming out soon once we get the rest of the tracks done, but as of now enjoy Superstar!

I didn't read that before listening.
Bloody fucking hell, mate...
Be nice. I'm trying to not be offensive so I'm staying as far away from this thread as possible (except for this post.)
Good job going out for what you believe in/like/enjoy doing, mate! You probably will get a lot of snap from this forum because, correctly me if I'm wrong, we're predominately atheist, but don't let that discourage you. Keep up the good work. The songs not for me 'cause I am atheist and don't like rap/pop, but I'll be sure to let anyone I know who may be interested know! Great job. Umm...
OFFENSIVENESS AVOIDED!
But, Mom! This everything about this is so hypocri... Eh, screw it.
OFFENSIVENESS AVOIDED
Only thing I hate more than the my second most hated thing about religion is Atheists who try to force Atheism on people. Believe what you want. I'm not going to bother you. Also, what I said was not hypocritical at all. So good day sir!
I didn't mean your message is, I meant quite the number of descriptions on the album website.
You're probably the scariest person here, so I'm trying my best not to diss you in any way.
Ah. Got'cha. I'm the scariest person here? Sweet. Maybe Fawful flipping out and leaving wasn't such a bad thing after all. >:-D
Edit:
Now wait just a gosh-darned minute here!
No idea who is Fawful, but I imagine it was brutal. :c
Fawful was brilliant. All you really need to know about the guy.
But thread back on topic....
Not my type of music, but I can see (or rather hear) the hard work behind it. Good job!
Always believe in your dreams, dude! Say "Hi" to your friend for me and "Keep on doing what you love!" to both of you.
Godspeed!
Thank you to all who gave your support! It's much appreciated. We're not out to make money so much as we are letting people know who we are and sharing our music with those who enjoy it. So a huge thanks to you Silverwolfpet for buying even though it's not your style. I know I said "please buy our single!" but that was more of a joke than anything and I hope everyone realizes that.
Continue to be awesome, all of you.
