The Humble Voxatron Debut

edited November 2011 in General Chat
New Humble Indie bundle, again for the moment it contains only one game, though the game is worth $15 normally.
The Humble Voxatron
Debut

Pay what you want. Voxatron normally costs $15, but we're letting you set the price!

Voxatron works great on Mac, Windows, and Linux.

Be the first to tackle this voxel-based, old-school-gone-new platform shooter. Jump into the Voxatron alpha and shoot your way through twenty challenging areas filled with blocky baddies, destructible toys, and palliative powerups.

Get Voxatron's future content and gameplay updates. As a customer of the Humble Voxatron Debut, you'll receive access to all of Lexaloffle's future updates to Voxatron: levels, characters, and more!

Level editor included, with monster creation tools on the way! After conquering the alpha adventure, check out the “BBS Levels” for instant-access to user-created content. Want to make your own voxel masterpiece? Voxde -- the Voxatron level editor -- is included with every purchase, granting you the ability to create mind-blowing new environments to share with the world. And soon, Lexaloffle plans to add monster creation tools for designing your own blocky bad guys to populate your creations.

You can support charity. Choose exactly how your purchase is divided: between the developers, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and the Child's Play Charity. Also, if you like this deal, a tip to the Humble Bundle itself would be much appreciated!

Dammit, I didn't need to buy more games this month. However, I seem to have adopted a "Gotta Catch 'em All!" mentality towards the Humble Bundle, so I guess I'm getting this one.

    Me too.

Though, I'm probably worse, as I have a couple of hundred PC games alone to play.

Eh, at least my money goes to charity this time! XD

(In case you don't know what you're looking at, the above picture confirms that "Blocks that Matter" and "The Biding of Isaac"(+ soundtrack) are going to be added to the Bundle later on.)

Yeah, I already saw that. They're probably going to stagger it over the period, after all it is lasting 2 weeks, so adding the games further in will give it a boost.

First bundle I paid over $10 for, and it only contains, like, one game.

    Ended up paying $25.

    Because I wasn't thinking.

You can contact support. Also, it looks like the bundle will end up having three games.

Binding of Isaac is already in the code, yet couldn't find Blocks that Matter. So I guess Isaac is up next.

    I already have Isaac. :<

Binding of Isaac and Blocks that Matter are up.

I got the bundle even though I know next to nothing about the games in it, except that Dashing plays the Binding of Isaac a lot!

Everyone should play that game a lot.

50 hours according to Steam. Absolutely AMAZING game, and it just got 20% more content in the free Halloween update, including a whole new level, 4 new bosses, and a new unlockable character.

I've just played Blocks That Matter for an hour. The gameplay is GREAT, but oh GOD is the "story" obnoxious, terrible, and MAJORLY groan-worthy.

One one hand, good thing I bought it early, because now I won't have to pay more than the average, on the other hand, I already did pay more than the average, and I sure as hell am not going to add an additional $10.

I need to play more of this. But this game hates me. I cannot unlock "The Virus" or "Lokis Horns" (even though I found them in game) and I never get a fully upgraded Meatboy. I had The Book Of Revelations for a whole playthrough twice now and I always get Scolex in Womb 1 and not Death.:(

Cannot wait until I unlock "The D6". This will make things so much easier.

Also: sent friend request to Dashing. You can never have too many TTG-community friends on Steam.

Oh Binding of Isaac... Why do you lag so, you're only a flash!

Oh, and I didn't exceed the 4 bucks, yet I still got all of them games. Granted I did buy when there was only one game, maybe that's the case.

    Oh I agree. Beautiful game.

I don't know why some people find it so squick.
Its just a game after all, (and a pretty funny one at that! XD).

I've played it for about 14 hours, and got about 30% of the achievements.
Its a hard game, but thats the entire point of it.

Its like Ninja Gaiden. Hard, sometimes cheap, but so, so rewarding! :D

If it wasn't for the lag I would have beaten the game a lot more often. The Technology upgrade really helps because there are less "tears" on the screen with it. Every run in that I beat mom, except for one, I had technology.

Absolutely same here. I'm starting to think of changing the tears into something else myself.

A little bit of lag is actually helpful but with normal tears I get movement lag. I keep shooting without control over movement over shooting direction or my movement. So I end up cornerfucked 90% of the time.
The one time I beat mom's heart like that I kept shooting for 20 seconds without doing anything.

Woo! I was actually considering buying the Binding of Isaac last night, but apparently I just got it for free instead. Booyah!

As I feared- I am physically unable to play The Binding of Isaac. I die in the first or second room, every time. Then again, I can't even beat Sacha Nein's mind in Psychonauts, or room 19 in the original Portal. Portal 2 was much more about static cerebral puzzles, so that I could handle. But managing running and shooting independently I cannot follow at all.

The luck factor is quite important in Isaac, sometimes you just can't win.

I'm visually impaired. Can't process the info I'm seeing fast enough. Also, unrelated-ly, I'll hit 1,111 posts on my next one...

I have the same problem. I have a shortage of grey matter in my brain due to a chronic illness, so when my confusion is at it's worst I can't process information fast enough in action sequences. Although, on my worst days I can't solve a cerebral puzzle either.

What??? Where did this come from? I was on Wolfire's site all day monday catching up on the Overgrowth Alphas, how did I miss this?

Some more games have been added to the bundle, including a steam copy of Gish.
  • edited November 2011
Still have keys for Frozen Synapse, Trauma, and Gish. Who wants them? (Each key is separate)

Again, first come, first served, for those who haven't gotten a free Steam key from me.
