Jurassic Park doesn't reload from same scenario

I began playing yesterday and reached the level in episode 1 where they're feeding the triceratops, right before the triceratops and t-rex fight. Then my brother started his own game by 'beginning episode' and he only got up to the dilophosaurus scene in ep. 1 and whenever i go to load from where I was up to, it starts from where my brother was up to. I tried accessing the last scenario i completed, was able to access it and complete it, but once i completed it, it went back to the main menu screen. It won't let me resume from the triceratops scene...help!!
