Monkey Island 2 on iPad - Black screen

Hi,

I'm using:
IPad 2, 16GB, 3G
IOS 4.3.5 (8LI) with German Language
Currently 1.6 GB free Memory

Problem:
After saving the mer-maid Queen, Guybrush says goodbye to his wife and LeChuck. When following the the three big sea-creatures, the game saves its status and the screen turns to black. The background music does not stop. Nothing happens afterwards. The screen keeps black.

I've tried to shut down all other programs in the background bevor starting the game, but the problem remains.

Any ideas?
