Tim Tebow

edited January 2012 in General Chat
Wow. After having to face all that flack from commentators, and after having the Detroit Lions mock his end zone ritual, it was crazy to see him seal the game the way he did with that 11 second play. Now it's the Tigers who've been knocked out and the Broncos who are heading to the next round.

Since I don't give two shits about football, the thing I'm going to hate dealing with are Tim Tebow references from the Pop Christian set. I've read "316 yards? John 3:16? COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT" too many times already.

Now he faces a REAL quarterback. No, I don't like Tim Tebow and this whole cult that popped up over him....but I do find it funny that the Broncos are actually beating teams they shouldn't(granted Ben was hurt, but the Steelers still should've won that game).

Hah. I've seen that myself already.

Football is actually kinda cool but I don't get the whole deal over Tebow. And I don't really care either.

The thing about Tebow is that everybody's been saying he'd fail in the NFL and be a bad quarterback. And while he is a bad quarterback in the traditional sense of the word, he's still taken the Broncos to the playoffs when they looked like they were going to have a horrible season at the beginning of the year.

Eh. I caught a bit of that game. Didn't look like it would be that hard. But I didn't see the whole thing.

I live in Denver and don't give two shits about football, so I am beyond sick of hearing about this guy.

He is a decent QB but he is no Brees, Rodgers, or Brady... And oh how I loath Brady.. Its gonna be worth keeping an eye on Flynn, Green Bays backup Qb his contract is almost up and he is dang near as good as Rodgers ... He is going to make some team in the near future... Rodgers ties with a GB favre passing record and then in one game Flynn pops in and breaks the record.. He will be one to watch..

Tebow has bad positioning, bad technique and a bad stance. If he was in any other division, he'd be hurt by now...especially sack-happy Min, or Dal, Phi.

He's really not a decent QB though. He's not even good. He's awful. As a Patriots fan, the Broncos upsetting Pittsburgh was probably the best thing that could have happened. Whoo. :p

...I will admit the guy is capable of being stupidly accurate while doing everything wrong. If he does it again, ...considering both teams' lack of defence, I would expect a 31-25 type score....for the Patriots.

Pssh. The whole Steelers team was hurt. As a Pittsburgh native, it's kind of disappointing for it to turn out this way. I fully expected Tebow to choke. OT in his first playoff game against a team known for a strong defense? But I was wrong, and I suppose Tebow deserves more credit than I had given him. But I do live in Florida, and if you think you hear too much about the guy, oh boy. You haven't even begun to see the Tebow Obsession.

I live in Australia and I'm sick of hearing about the guy :p

(But in all fairness I am a huge NFL fan, a lot of my friends wouldn't even know who he is.)

Why would Florida be obsessed with Tebow? You guys have the Dol- oh, wait, nevermind.

I like the concept that if there is a god, he spends his time fudging football games in Tebow's favor rather than saving starving children or something actually important.

Well, they do say that humans are made in god's image, and most people would damn well rather watch football than worry about starving kids.

Well, it looks like "God" was just playing a big joke on the Broncos' fans...and is now letting Tom Brady deliver the punchline. That is, if you believe Tebow's stance that God is directly affecting the Broncos' season. :P

    God works in mysterious ways.
